Ruszwurm

  • The oldest coffee house in Budapest that has been operating since 1827 and it’s definitely one of Budapest’s top coffee shops to get a really delicious piece of cake. The place located in the Castle District in Buda next to Matthias Church, the neighbourhood is rich in historical architecture. Ruszwurm  is a small place with limited sitting area, so it is usually crowded in the tourist season and may take a while to get a table. Their most famous pastry is the krémes. This cake is basically a fresh vanilla cream squeezed between two layers of crispy pastry and dusted with icing sugar. The interior design here is like stepping in a door that takes you  back in time to the classic Budapest.

Városliget Café

  • Restaurant and café located in a historic building that was renovated in 2013. The position of the place is on City Park’s (Városliget) lake and it’s most romantic and unique for an afternoon dinner or just coffee with cake. The Cafe surrounded by a gorgeous environment with green trees and a lake. The coffee is super fresh because it’s coffee beans are grounded and roasted on the spot. Along with the perfect hot drink you will enjoy a variety of main dishes, salads, soups and desserts

Molnar’s Kürtöskalács

Nándori Pastry Shop

  • This small but busy pastry shop has a wide selection of classic and traditional cakes, modern pastries, cookies , tasty ice cream and delicious hot drinks. This is not the place for a long stay and chat with friends due to limited seating inside the shop. Over the summer you can enjoy your comforting pastry and a lovely atmosphere while sitting on the patio.
